Tuition is charged per quarter, payable in full at the start of each quarter, or in 3 equal monthly payments, due at the start of each month.

45-minute weekly lesson:  $240/month or $720/quarter

60-minute weekly lesson:  $280/month or $840/quarter

Make Up Policy and Make Up Weeks

Make up lessons during the regular quarter are offered at my discretion.  There is a Make Up Week at the end of each quarter to schedule make up lessons for any missed lesson not made up during the quarter, but only one make up lesson per quarter is guaranteed.  No credits or refunds will be issued for lessons that have not been made up by the end of each quarter.  Group and Performance classes also serve as additional built in make up time for missed lessons.

Lesson Exchange

For conflicts with advance notice, students are strongly encouraged to exchange lesson time with another student.  You are responsible for making the exchange, but please notify me at least 24 hours prior to the exchanged lessons.  Contact information will be made available in September.

Music Purchase and Lending Library

As a courtesy, I purchase all new music for my students.  Payment for new music will be added to the monthly or quarterly invoice.  In addition, I have a large lending library of sight playing and supplementary music for students to use throughout the year.  There is an annual $40 lending library and studio fee per student.

Practice Requirement

Students are expected to practice a minimum of 5 days each week;  4 days for beginners and/or young students.  General guidelines for practice:

     15-20 minutes/day for beginners and/or young students.

30-45 minutes/day for elementary students (AIM levels 1-5)

45-60 minutes/day for middle school students (AIM levels 6-8)

60-90 minutes/day for high school students (AIM levels 9-12)

Recital Attendance Policy

All students are expected to participate in at least one studio recital each year.  Students and family members are expected to stay for the entire recital.  Students that are not able to attend the whole recital may be asked not to participate, in fairness to those that are in attendance.

Termination of Lessons

Lessons may be terminated at any time.  I will make every effort to accommodate learning styles and busy, active schedules.  However, if practice goals are consistently not met after repeated warnings, I will terminate the lessons.
